Hello Everyone!
Welcome back to the lab!!
We hope you’re all staying safe and well and we can’t believe it's november already!
Now we have a very exciting announcement in this post, as this beginning part is written by your usual blog/review lab creator Harry (Me!) however, as the title says we have a brand new member of The Review Lab who's starting with a Five Nights At Freddy's Film Review.
Introducing our newest blog writer… Toni!
Toni has been a close friend of mine for many years now. She even helped me choose the name ‘The Review Lab’. I am super excited to have her join us starting with her first short review for the new film Five Nights at Freddy’s!
Check it out below:
Struggling security guard Mike (Josh Hutcherson) accepts a job at Freddy Fazbears a family-run pizzeria which closed down in the 80's. While originally not keen on the job he accepts it to try and keep custody of his younger sister Abby from their Aunt. Mike has a troubled past and willingly recounts it through his dreams.
The animatronic bears of Fazbears come alive slaughtering anybody on the property and are drawn to Abby wanting her to join them as a permanent resident at Fazbears.
The film plods along at a dull pace filled with too many dream sequences to tie past and present together while Mike tries to piece together exposition from cop Vanessa (Elizabeth Liail) but is devoid of any real scares or malice and while robot killing machines would suggest blood and gore this film woefully has any.
The stylistic choices for the 80's themed Fazbears bring some colour and vibrancy to an otherwise addled story.
While this film may place a bandaid on a cinematic void for the gaming fans of Freddys this film leaves a lot to be desired.
There we have it! What do you think of the film?
Do you Agree with Toni’s review?
Let us know in the comments!!
Welcome to The Review Lab Toni!
Look forward to many more posts from her in the future!
Until the next time,
Stay Safe, Look After Each Other.
Harry & Toni
